Biography

Jonathan Elmore, tenor, is currently pursuing his Doctor of Music degree in Voice at Indiana University, where he also earned his M.M. in Voice, and is studying with Heidi Grant Murphy. Most recently, Jonathan performed the role of Governor/Vanderdendur with the Northern Lights Music Festival . Jonathan’s roles at IU include Pirelli (Sweeney Todd), Danilo (Die lustige Witwe) , Guard (Anne Frank), King Ouf (L’Ètoile), and Ralph Rackstraw (HMS Pinafore), as well as Secondo Soldato (L’incoronazione di Poppea). Alongside his mainstage roles at IU, Jonathan has participated the choruses for Il barbiere di Siviglia, L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Highway, 1 USA.

Upcoming engagements include Ravinia Steans Music Institute (Vocal Fellow), Die Fledermaus (Eisenstein) with IU Opera and Ballet Theatre, and Hadyn's Creation (Tenor Soloist) with the Fresno Community Choir.
